Seconds From Disaster: Sinking of the Titanic part 1 of 2

29

The RMS Titanic, on her maiden voyage from Southampton to New York with over 2,000 people on board, strikes an iceberg. The rivets holding the hull together fail upon impact, allowing water to enter the first five compartments, one more than she can handle and remain afloat. Plus, it also happens that the ship is equipped with insufficient lifeboats. Within 2 hours and 40 minutes, she sinks, taking with her 1,517 lives.
