Psychology schools of thought

For this project, we created a video that uses humor to illustrate (and exaggerate) the differences between 4 of the original psychological perspectives and the men who founded them. The first of these psychological perspectives is structuralism, founded by German scientist Wilhelm Wundt. Structuralism focused on analyzing the mind by careful introspection of the most basic components of thought. That is why, in the video, Dr. Wundt asks the patient so incessantly to describe the alligators. Since structuralism was not actually a form of therapy, Dr. Wundt does not actually help the patient with his problem.

The second psychological perspective we explore in this video is functionalism, which was founded by American psychologist William James. Functionalism differed from structuralism...
