Henry Moseley was a brilliant student of Rutherford’s and discovered that the positive charge of the nucleus is what determined the type of element. Moseley would have received the Nobel Prize in 1916 but he was killed in WWI and you must be living to be nominated. Therefore, it was not awarded that year in his honor. Read more »
