Hacking my Canon and my programmable motorized camera slider for Dynamic Timelapse

Version 0.2 is working great! Finally I got my 16x2 LCD screen and other stuff from Tayda Electronics. I’ll start coding on making the shutter delay, gap delay between shots and stepper motor’s strength dynamic and user-friendly. I’m thinking of using a Quadrature Encoder or maybe I’ll just use panel buttons. I’ve also removed the ULN2003 driver and replaced it with T122. The ULN2003 was heating up quickly. The new design performs like a tank!


However, the shutter release cable I ordered on Ebay hasn’t arrived yet. I had to improvise my own cable since I can’t wait to test my schematics. Fortunately my setup worked! It triggered my camera.


I was able to salvage the belt from an old Epson dot matrix printer. The belt is used for dragging the dolly. However, I need to buy a pull...
